Association it was unanimously decided to extend operations b7 increasing the Paid-up Capital to £50,000 in order to permit the Company to carry on a General Insurance Business, instead of being limited as at present to insuring the risks of Shareholders only. The Directors therefore are prepared to receive applications for new shares in order to bring the paid-up Capital of the Company to £50,U00 as required by law, and in offering these Shares to the Public they desire to draw attention to the following facts :— 1. That the Public are invited to buy Shares in an established Insurance business, the Company already having a subscribed Capital cf £61,130 divided among 648 Shareholders, and that no premium whatever is charged. 2. The Directors would refer to the success of the New Zealand Insurance Companies frora an Investment point of view. Figures will show that from the business done by these Companies they have been able, in addition to paying handsome dividends, to build up In the aggregate reserves more than EQUAL TO THE WHOLK OF THE CAPITAL PAID-UP BY THEIR SHAREHOLDERS. Payments on Shares will be as follows ;— Ten nhillings per share on application, twenty shillings per share on allotment, twenty saillings per share in oc« month. Balance v required by calls of five shillings per share at intervals of not less than three months. Until the required paid-up capital of £50,009 is subscribed, the Directors will be prepared to receive applications from present Shareholders or such applicants as wish to pay up shares in full.
