BULB AND CAMELLIA SHOW.

The annual Balb and Camellia Show was held in the Art Gallery yesterday under the auspices of th 3 Chrotchurch Horticultural Society. The sxhibits, on the whole, were good, and the show conipared fairly well with former years. There were very few pot plants shown, Mr S. Anstey bero« the only exhibitor in the open class. In the amateur class Mr F. C. East showed a couple of good orchids, and Mr D. Craw took Mr Dutton"s prize for hardy primulas, open to all comers. The hyaciuths were, on the whole, exceedingly good. Mrs J. M. Batham was very successful with her fine exhibits, taking the majority of the prizes in the open class, including Mr A. EL G. Rhodes' special prize. Her stand of twelve was the best in the show. Messrs Anstey, Davis, and Biggs were also successful exhibitors. There were very few camellias shown, and the quality was only fairly good. The tulips were also good, and the narcissi were on the whole excellent, Mr J. G. Davis takiug the three first prizes in the open class. Mr D. Craw took all the awards for polyanthuses, and the same exhibitor showed some excellent specimens of pansies. Mr A. M. Ollivier showed a very good collection of cut blooms, outdoor grown. The cut blooms ia the amateur class were fair, some of the individual specimens being really good. Mrs A._ Ca trick showed a splendid collection of outdoor grown blooms, for which she obtained Mrs Greeustreet's prize. Miss Ethel Wilson showed a very tasteful and effective table decoration, made up of yellow primrose blooms and maidenhair fern ; and Miss Lilian Lean's collection of native cut flowers was an exceedingly creditable one. The judges were Messrs A. Appleby, C. A. C. Hardie, and W. H. Lawrence. There was a very good attendance at the show in the afternoon and evening. The following is the prize list:— POT PLANTS.
