[ At the annual meeting of the Free Auo« I ciation of Employers and Workmen of [ Hawke's Bay to-dar, the report slated tkab t the working members had increased to 2033. ■ The income was £334, and the expenditure : £389, the chief item being £100 paid to working members who met with accidents , daring the year. The balance in hand m £525. Situations had been found for 193 members, making a total of 450 since the formation of the Association. There was some discussion on a proposition to charge the working members a small membership fee, nothing now being asked from them, but no alteration was made. The utmost confidence was expressed that in the event of another maritime or wharf labourers* strike there would be not the sttgfctejfc difficulty in working the port.
