MisceU-ANEOUS. — Charles Harris was charged with burglariously entering the premises of J. Barkle, Manchester Btreet, on August 9th. Mr Donnelly appeared for him. As the prisoner had only been a few hours under arrest he was, on the application of the police, remanded till tbe following day. —John Kirk was charged with stealing a packet of hinges, valued at Bs, the property of the Walter A. Wood Company. Mr Donnelly for the accused, who, appearing to be suffering from drink, was remanded till the following day.—A case against Margaret Kelly, for keeping a disreputable house, was adjourned for a week. —Thomas Gray, for leaving a horse on a footpath in Carlton Mill road, was fined ss, with coats 7s.—Wm. Marriot, for allowing a portion of an engine, while sawing wood, to remain on a footpath in Papanui road on July 22nd, was fined £2, with cost 7s. Mmstesaxce. —By agreement, John Phillips, jun., was ordered to contribute 103 per month, and Robt. Phillips 5s per month, towards the maintenance of bis father, John Phillips.—John Moorhouse Hartley, who was proved to be in arrears £910s on an order for the maintenance of wife and children, was ordered to be brought up on warrant.—Wm. Budd, of Timaru, was ordered to pay Mary Sutter 7s 6d per week towards the support of on illegitimate child of which he is the father. Mr Donnelly appeared for the applicant.
