Mr Gladstoue announced that he proposed to abandon the clause forbidding Irish members deliberating or voting on any but Imperial matters, and to leave them unlimited powers in the House of Commons. - Mr Sexton gave notice to move that the Chairman of Committees abused his powers by ordering him to withdraw. July 13. There was a great Orange demonstration throughout Ulster yesterday. One hundred thousand people attended in the suburbs of Belfast to hear a speech by Dr. Kane against Home Bale. Lord Salisbury has requested the Peers to attend during the last week in August to debate the second treading of tho Home Rule Bill. Dr. Kane, in his speech to the Orangemen, said they had met tyranny with unyielding defiance, and would pay no regard to the efforts to force a bloody revolution upon them. He warned Ulster men to keep their weapons ready. The Daily News warm the waverers among the party that they are risking another term of Tory coeroion, for unless the Bill is adopted there must bo a dissolution. Mr Gladstone, referring to tbe amendment in favour of retaining the representation of Dublin University, said he hoped Universities in the future would attend more to learning and less to polities, (cheers.) He objected to all University seats.
