FOOTBALL.
Several matches take place to-day bsVween local and foreign clubs. At Lancaster Park East Christchurch meet Leeston at 11 _.__, and at the North Park at 2.30 p.m. the New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative of Christchurch meet the representatives C-nterbury Farmers' Co-operative from Timaru. The Hardware Club, which will be represented by the following —Tucker, King, Lewis, Tnompson, Wallace, Orr, Stycb, Hawkes, CL-rJt, Betson, Pickering, Nashelski, Alexander, _tassett and another, play North Canterbury at Raugiora, a drag leaving town at 11.46 a-m. The Merivale and Ctristchurch Clubs play their annual matches at Dunedin with the Alhambra aud Pirates respectively. The local players left by yesterday's express for Dunedin.
