The New Zealand Shipping Company, Limited, have received the following cable message, dated Bio de Janeiro, May 17th :—

"Ruahiue sailed today, frozen meat in good condition. The Kuahine made the passage from Lyttelton to Rio de Janeiro in one day less than the Taiuui, which sailed three days before her.
