Unsecured creditors, £115 Is 7d ; secured creditors, £1500; less estimated value of securities, £100 ; difference, £1400; other liabilities unknown. Total debts, £1515 Is 7d. Assets—Cash in hand, £3 9s sd; furniture, £223 19s 3d ; property, £135. Total assets, £362 8s Bs. Deficiency, £1152 12s lid.
A note to the above was as under: —This deficiency of £1152 12s lid arises from the charge of £1400 on my shares in the Lyttelton Times Company Limited appearing' on the debtor side of the account. I am unable to enter on the credit side the value of these shares in any, other way than as "uncertain," though their nominal value is £6770, being 677 £10 shares fully paid up in the Company.

Brown, estimated value uncertain; six quarter-acre lots, part R.S. 715, Saltwater Creek, Ashley County, held jointly with the late David Kinnebrook, deceased many years since— nil; one-sixth share in a 20-acre section of land, Mount Herbert, Banks' Peninsula—ni l; half share in partnership business of T. W. Maude and Son as same stood ou 9th March, 1893, say £100; share in residue of late Geo. Maude's estate in England, secured to the Rev. A. Maude; cutter yacht Fleetwing, Lytteltqn, say £35; claim in Messrs L. and G. Harper for balance of £2000 agreed by them, according to deed of dissolution of partnership dated 16th July, 1892, to be paid by monthly instalments, of which four payments have been made, the last on the 30th October, leaving now due £1750, value nil. Total, £135.
