WELLINGTON, December 19.
The Offensive Publications Act of last session comes into operation on January let. It provides that persons exhibiting or distributing by sale or otherwise indecent pictures or literature are liable to fine or imprisonment. Certain medical advertisements are also to be illegal and subject to penalties.
