MIDLAND C.C. v WAREHOUSEMENS' C.C.

This match was concluded at Hagley Park on Saturday, and, somewhat contrary to expectation, resulted in a seven wickets victory for the Warehousemen. The Warehousemen's score was taken to 183 before the inniugs closed. Labatt was no*; out with 90, and it is sufficient praise to say that he made his runs in his best style. The second innings of the M.C.C. was a complete surprise, for Labatt and Pearce disposed of the lot for 46, requiring 39 to win. The Warehousemen got 19 for the first three wickets, and then Labatt and Halley knocked off the remainder of the runs withoutfurther disaster.
