The usual monthly "meeting of the West Christchurch School Committee wa3 held on Wednesday evening. Present—Mr J. W. Munnings (Chairman), Messrs R. Hill Fisher, J. Venables, A. Beach, A. Alfrey, and G. Tombs. Apologies were received from Mr Chisnall and Rev. H. T. Purchas. The Board /wrote agreeing to allow the teaching staff to remain as it is until the Christmas vacation. Arrangements were made for the distribution of the prizes on the morning of the 23rd inst*, at the infant school at 10.30 a.m., aud the main school eleven o'clock. Ifc was decided to arrange to allow ths* use of the. "swimming bath to the scholars during the .holidays at certain hours, which it was. decides should be arranged with the bead master. It was agreed to allaw the.tisual assistance to the caretaker during the holidays to remove desks and forms for cleaning the school. Accounts, amojinting to £11 7s 6J, were passed for payment, and the meeting adjourned.
