RANGIORA.
The great feature in the day's amusements at Rangiora was the holding of the North Canterbury Races, into which a new spirit has been infused, and judging by the numbers who arrived by trains and road vehicles
the funds of tho Club should be considerably augmented. No effort had been spared by the new Secretary (Mr W. N. Cathro) to make
the racing popular, and for the future of the Club all well wishers hope he will succeed. The members of tho Presbyterian Church Friendship Guild held a picnic at Stonuy creek bush, Mount Grey. The scholars of the Wesleyan Sunday school were enter* tamed with games and regaled with fruit? milk, and cake at the Recreation ground.
