The wool sales closed fairly spirited. The Continent has taken 135,000 bales, America 5000, and Great Britain 70,000; The of hales withdrawn is 7000. Compared with previous sales merino scoured wools are halfpenny to a penny dearear; greasy, good combing fully halfpenny dearer j greasy, short faulty sorts are at par to a farthing dearer. Lambs wool is also a halfpenny dearer, and crossbreds, fine scoured wool, a halfpenny lower than last sales; all other sorts a halfpenny dearer.

Melbourne, December 16. At the wool sales competition was brisk, greasy fetching up to 10£ d.
