The Committee engaged in enquiring into the ecandals connected with the Panama Canal Company, to-day, examined M. M. Rouvier, Clemenceau and Conatans, but elicited nothing new beyond the fact that Baron Reinach's death was due to criminal aots of bribery, and .that he had threatened suicide. The doctors who made the autopsy on the remains of Reinach discovered traces of atropine in the body. The scandal is believed to be weakening the Cabinet, also the position of the President and the Republic.
