HINDS SALEYARDS.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sir, —After the opening sale of stock at the above yards, a report of that sale from Messrs Miles and Co. appeared in your columns. Iα that report Messrs Miles and Co. said that entries had been collected far and near to make the opening sale a success. . . I am directed by the Chairman of Directors of the Company to requeet space to contradict this statement, and to say that no such collection of entries, so far as the Directors are aware, was either attempted or made. The great success of the opening sale was in no way the result of a special ett'ort.—Yours, &c, John McKEAeua, Secretary.
