WELLINGTON, December 6. At the Magistrate's Court James and Wm. Buckley, wharf lumpers, formerly of Lyttelton, were charged with assaulting constables in plain clothes io a hotel last night. The former was fined, including costs, £4 13s 6d, or seven days' imprisonment, and the latter was sentenced to four days' imprisonment without the option of a fine, for an assault on one constable, and fined 10s, or twenty-four hours, for assaulting the second. The accused were members of the crew of the Lyttelton yacht .Msficotte, Which .-won the championship here •*»» i Anniveraary Day.
