MIDLAND V ADDINGTON.
This match was brought to a conclusion at Hagley Park on Saturday, when, as was anticipated after their poor display on the previous Saturday, Addington were defeated, the Midlanders winning by eight wickets.' At the commencement of the ploy, Addington hod lost seven wickets for eight runs, Ogier and Seager being the not out-. The score was taken to 17 before the latter was bowled but with three runs added, MeMurray, Malone and Gates were all disposed of, and as Buchanan was an absentee the innings closed for 20, which is the smallest score on record for a Senior Cup match in Canterbury. Treweek and Robertson again bowled well, and the fielding was good. Ihe Midland were left with 16 to make to win, and the runs were knocked off for the loss of two wickets.
