Another unsuccessful Aucklander sends us the following: — " From " A..5.," Kpsom, Auckland: "Why are all Watcrbury conundrums like a greengrocer's shop f' Answer — " they want time (Thyme) on the. cheap." Thi.s is news to us. Apart from the novelty of hearing a. Kreoußrocer's shop alluded to as "they." our correspondent has mistaken our requirements. What we asked for was a conundrum on the Waterbury watch, not on the conundrums sent in. ft a a pity, too, that a writer's humour is so subtle that he is forced to explain his own witticism. i
