The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,908,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,156,000 quarters. Shares in the Utago and Southland Investment Society are quoted at 5a ; Roberc Campbell and Co., i>4 ; Dalgety and Co., £6 15a. The estimated visible supply of American wheat is G6,60i),000 bushels. The majority of the peaches imported from the Cape were spoiled by low atmosphere; the rest brought 14a to 18d per dozen. Nectarines were inferior, and only realised 2s 6d per dozen. Grapes were also inferior, and brought 12s per 441b. Merchants think that even these prices were ouly reached because the Cape fruit is a novelty, aud they are not likely to be maintained. Tomatoes fetched 3d per lb. Factory butter 112s, dairy 92a to 100s. Austrian and Italian dairies are sending over large quantities and depressing the market. February 11. The market is steady.
