Press Association-'Elecirio Telegraph—Copyright. Loxdou, February 10. At the half-yearly meeting of the Bank of New Zealand the Hon. Mr Glyn, Chairman, eaid the deposits had increased and credit was improving. The Bank had not been affected by the failures in Australia.

February 11. It was stated at the Bank of New Zealand meeting that £20,000 was expected to be carried over to next year. The Chairman eaid the new taxation did not affect the Bank, thongh it would considerably affect the instates Company. The Bank was reducing advances in Australia, believing it to be risky in the present state of affaiis there.
