LoitiXMf, January 11, Mr W, B. Perceval, Agent-General for New Zealand, ia a letter to The Times, ably expounds aad defends the New Zealand taxation. He denies chat the taxation of foreign capital has increased, except in instances where money has been invested in large areas of unimproved land. K*eeired Jaamarj- lath, 1 *.tn. LoNDoar, January 12. Mr W. B. Perceval in his letter to The Times traverses the statement in the article published by that paper on November 9 th, and denies that it is the intention of the New Zealand Government to make Loan Companies or Banks conducting legitimate business pay more than formerly.
