(P&XSS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, December 15. Hilda and Lebel are favorites for the Auckland Cup at 3 to 1, Fraternlte and British Lion 5 to 1. TbU morning Flinder3 and Tamar walked, and Lebel and Stepniak trotted on the tan. British Lion, Clanranald and Queen of Tramps did easy tasks, and all look well. Bain fell to-day, which will put the tracks in better order, as they are very hard. , : - Later. The following scratching? were announced to-day:— Auckland Cup—Patchwork. Great Northern Foal Stakes —Pnwerewere. Hurdle Race (First Day)— Hopeful Kate and Bit o' Blue. All engagements—Brigand. The betting market is still stagnant. Hilda and Lebel are quoted favorites at 3 to 1, while Hopeful Kate is mot>t fancied for the Steeplechase, and has been backed at 12 to 1 in the double with Label and Hilda for the Cup. Oar correspondent telegraphs that Yardman was withdrawn on Monday night from the Hurdles. The entries for the trots at the Lα wer Heathcote meeting are due to-night at the Al HoteL
