WRECK IN THE CHANNEL.
LOSS OF THIRTY LIVES. [FOB PBB3B ASSOCIATION.] Received December loth, 10.10 a.m. London, December 14. The Enterkin, bound to Brisbane, with a cargo of iron, was wrecked off Bamsgate on Saturday night. An apprentice who was lashed to the rigging, was the only one rescued, all the rest ou board, thirty in number, being drowned. Received December 15th, 7.30 p.m. London, December 14. The ship Enterkin, wrecked ,'at Ram&gate, is insured against total wreck. Received December 16th, 1.10 a.m. London, December 15. The ship Enterkin struck the Gallaper sands, The lifeboat was stove iv and drowned most of the crew.' Those left on board, consisting of four hands, were washed overboard, the apprentice alone regaining the ship and taking to the rigging. He was five hours in hia perilous position before he was received by a passing smack. Capt. Sinclair, who was to have taken command of the ship, was seized with an attack of influenza prior to her departure, and was sucoeeded by Capt. Stephenson.
