W. J. G. Hay ward is now on a racing pneumatic, and is doing excellent work, being the ouly man who takes the corners well at high speed. W. H, Langdown is working consistently, bub does not seem at home ou bU m*> chine. Rallingshaw la still going well: his sprinting is nob quite up to tut mark. T. A. North has changed his mount for a heavier oue, and has tost more pace than he should in consequeuce of the change. R. P. Olurkaon is going Iα good style, and will be a tough mivn over a distance. H. Tho-npaou should distinguish himself If he keeps Iα form. M. North, E. Lilly, W. Williams and P. Maguire, ar«j going well, the former riding at a steady pice that will bring him home in handicaps, providing he ie on a gootf machine.
