IRISHMEN AND HOME RULE.
TO THE. EDITOR OF THE PRESS.
Sir,-*—ln' this morning's issue of your paper there appeared a local re Mr Parnell's death, forwarded to the National Press,of j Dublin in the form of a resolution, purporting to emanate from the Irishmen of Christ--ympathising with Mr Gladstone and his Home Rule propoaals. , Now, sir, as an Irisßuaaah I have no obj-Qtion to such: resolutions being forwarded by a section of the Irish, but what I most emphatically protest against, as a lover of liberty andfreedom, is that this resolution should be made to appear as representing the feelings' of all the Irish, the majority of whom are. opposed to Home Rule in any form or by whom advocated. Thanking you in anticipation,—l am, &c, An Irishman,
