Running down the fasting on August 20th Mr Dry, the officer, and William Mathew, while engaged in furling the maintopsail fell from the yard overboard. Mr Dry was picked up slightly braised, but although ropes and lifebuoys were thrown by Captain Gordon, the carpenter took no notice tof them, aad sank nnder the vessel's quarter. It is supposed he must have Struck himself in the fall.
