The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 1,880,000 quarters, and for the Continent 2,942,000. Debentures of the Australian and New Zealand Mortgage Agency are quoted at 100, Dalgety and Co., 112 J ; New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency, 95. Received September 10th, 8 p.m. London, September 9. The estimated American visible supply of wheat is 26,200,000 bushels. Wool is very firm, opening rated being well maintained. Silver, 3s 9 3-16 d. Sidney, September 10. Broken Hill Proprietary, £9 15s j British Broken Hill* £2 la ; Central, £7 Is; Souths. £5 0s 6d ; Block 14, £6 10s; Block 10, £14 10s; Junctions, £1 9s. Received September 11th, 1.30 a.m. London, September 10. The hop market is bare. The yield will be a third less than was expected, the crop being badly blighted. Prices of wool show no improvement, and large lines have been withdrawn in consequence of labor troubles. The quantity offered is too large to be unloaded at old prices.
