the best of the backs, while forward the Times were best represented by Gerard, Hyman, Jackman and Woodward. The pick ot the Press players waa undoubtedly Hiskens, whose forward play was of a first-class description, while Haliiday and Thomas rendered him able assistance. Allardyce, Sutherland, Flower, Izstt and A.qaith also played well throughout the game, and McLean did some good work towards the close. Air A. J. Weekes acted as referee.
