ASHBURTON STOCK MARKET.
About 5000 sheep were yarded at Ash* bcrton yesterday. Fat crossbred ewes realised at up to Us; fat merino ewes and wethers, 6s lOd, On 8d and lis; two-tooth crossbreds, 9s 6d, 13s Id and 13s lid; crossbred ewes, 8s 6d to Os: merino ewes, 3s 2d to 4s 7d; crossbred iambs, 8s Bd.
Mr F. M. Ric___n reports an entry of 50 horses at tbe Ashburton Arcade on Saturday.' A fair number of these changed hands at np to £20; Inferior aud aged draught, £5 to £12;' hacks and lightTiar, uess horses from £8 to £12. There was a large attendance of buyers and the general public, and biddings were fairly orisk.
