SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND.
We have much pleasure in giving publicity to the subjoined communication:— TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Dear Sir, —We shall be much indebted to if you will allow us space to insert a few lines, in your widely-read columns to ask for information on a subject in which we are much interested. We are anxious to establish a small school for the blind in Christchurch for the benefit of those to whom other institutions are unavailable on account of distance. We, therefore, seek for information as to the names, approximate ages, and addresses of blind people in this island, and shall truly thank those who will be so kind as to supply us with the knowledge we require. When we have some idea of the possible number of available pupils, we hope to lay before the generous public a thoroughly formulated scheme and to moke known the exact lines upon which we hope to carry on this school. We remain, dear sir, Yours truly, Annie Mannerino, •Frances Heywood. Answers may be addressed— Mrs Mannering, Fernside, Canterbury, N.Z.; Or Mrs Heywood, Banner Down, Fernside, Canterbury, N.Z.
