The National Mortgage and Agency Company of Nbtv Zealand, Limited, report as follows under.date Melbourne, May 18th :— The weather has continued all that could be desired for sowing, aad full advantage has been taken of ic. Meantime, however, carting. has been stopped, and deliveries are on a smaller scale.

Feediug Grains — Hew Zealand oats have been arriving more freely lately, but a fair sieed contract made with one of our millers at a low price iS the explanation of this. When it is completed, shipments must leasen, as there is a comparatively email bond outlet, and they can't pay duty for feed against Victorians yet. They are offering very cheap to arrive, which is contrary to New Zealand advices of a former market there. Victorians are, if anything, a shade easier all round, but they niuat improve later on. Prices range from 2s 3d for light feed up to 2s lid for prime stoat. Breadstuff's—Wheat sella at 4s IOJd for prime in small lots ; holders of large parcels firm at 08. Flour is almost nominal at £9 los to £10 5s for stone and £11 10s for roller, Barley—Good demand for prime at up to 3s 4id, 33 2d to 3s 3d for good, and 2s 10d to 3s for fair to medium. Feed, 2e 3d to 2s 4&d. Ryegrass —Dull. We have quitted a email lot at 5a 6d, somewhat dirty buc good seed. Cocksfoot stagnant at ojd. 100 bags to an inexperienced consignee was secured by a seedsman at 4id, good clean heavy seed and fair color, this season. Flax in over supply at £18 to £21 per ton.

Potatoes—s7s 6d to 67s 6d for fair to prime, fle for shipment. Deliveries are expected to increase this week. If they do, prices will drop. Cheese—Victoria, 4d to od.

Butter —5d to 10d for potted. Haniß—4d to 9d. Bacon—4d to Bd.
