Among the Christchurch matches, non of which were important, were the following :—• . The Canterbury College Second Fifteen journeyed to Lincoln on Saturday, and defeated the Lincoln men, after a pleasant game, by 10 points to 8. The Maroons were strengthened by the inclusion of four members of the first Fifteen in the ranks— West, Craddock, Speight, Bourke. The first spelt* opened considerably in favor of the visitors, who scored four tries in a short time, one of which I vena converted into a goaL Lincoln then woke np, and held the advantage till the end of the spell, scoring three tries, one of which was converted? The second spell was very even, the ball travelling up and down the ground. Canterbury College scored a goal from a mark and another try, while Murray, after a good run, scored once more for Lincoln, a goal resulting. The scorers were:—For Canterbury College, H. Ward (2), Craddock, Low, Speight; for Lincoln, Jollie (2), Murray (2). : The match on Saturday between Kaiapoi Third and Linwood Fourth was won pretty easily, the former scoring 6 tries to nothing. The match between the Phtenix and St. Albans Juniors resulted in a win for the former by 2 points to nothing.
