The Bank of England returns, published to-day, show the total reserve in notes and bullion to bo £13,836,000. The proportion of reserve to liabilities is 35,40.

Three mouths' Bills are quoted at 4£ per cent., the market being excited.

Now Zealand Four per Cent, Ineoribed Stock 102#, Three and a Half per Cent. Inscribed Stock 95^. New Zealand long berried wheat 43a, market steady. New Zealand wheat ou passage, sellers are asking 435, but buyers will not give more than 42e 6d.
