WANGANUI, May 22. There is very little excitement over Monday's fixture at present, except that the course presents a somewhat more level appearance. Nearly all the horses have arrived, there being quite a string out every morning. Ingorangi made his first appearance on Tuesday morning, doing three miles Blow, but moving nicely. Waterbury, -with Pell up, was sent three times round over the schooling jumps on Monday. He baulked at the second hurdle, bnt jumped everything else well. Oh Wednesday morning he cut up very rough at the double, hut afterwards negotiated the big jumps welL Whalebone. Torpedo, Weka, Despised, Takapau and Karewa arrived yesterday. Wells is to have the mount on Takapau, Percy Johnston cm Whalebone, Pell on Waterbnry, Frewin on Matchless, and Hickey on IvaL Hickey rode Sir Garnet to victory last year, when he waa supposed to have a much «m-«iV»r chance than he has this time.
