The time ball is dropped daily, Sunday, and holidays excepted, at 1 o clock p-.m., New Zealand mean time, which is equivalent to 13.90 Greenwich mean time of t_t previous day, being calculated for the 170* 80/ East Longitude, and llhr 30m in f-St of Greenwich mean time. The ball wiil be raised at about 2min to Ip.m., and will be at the top about fa-Jn to 1 p-m. When taking the time be careful to note the ezaet moment the ball leaves the too of the mast.
