The Minister for Education is preparing a Bill to amend the School Committees Election Act of last year. The Government have still under consideration the details of the new financial proposals. Nothing yet has been settled as to the shape the scheme of taxation shall take. (There are several forms of land tax and income tax under discussion, but the exact combination and graduation which shall produce the requisite revenue have yet to be decided.
