SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTIONS.
TO THJE -EDITOR OF THB PRESS. Sir.—ln reply to Mr Harold Jones* letter of to-day with reference to the last stationery tender for the school, I beg to remind Mr Jones that the Committee has the right to accept any tender that, after due consideration, they think best. Tbat is., the only explanation -1. can give Mr Jones.—Yours, &c, M. Sandstein, Chairman. April 2_th, 1891. TO THB EDITOR OF THE PBB3S. Sir,—As a Unionist I object to be dictated to by a hole-in-the-corner meeting of delegates or labor agitators as to who I should vote for, just because the C.T.A. have a bias against a certain Arm, I altogether object to the names of the labor party selected tor election on the School Committees. I prefer the old household names, who have been here for years, In preference to Untried and less educated men. A number of other Unionists are bt the same opinion. They think it is high time that the C.T.A. settled the matter in dispute with the firm, and not hamper a useful industry auy longer. The Unionists should encourage capital, not discourage It.—Yours, &c, UNIQNIS-Y
