SYDENHAM.
An ordinary quarterly meeting of the Committee for the Sydenham licensing district was held at noon yesterday, when there were present Messrs G. T. Booth (Chairman), J. Forrester, J. Hamilton, and W. Langdovrn. , The repsrt of the Inspector of licensed houses in the district was laid on the table 1 . ' The Inspector said that the houses were all well conducted, and the only thing he had to mention was the conviction of a licensee for selling liquor to a prohibited person, but no order was made by. the Magistrate as to the conviction being endorsed on the license. The report was approved. The following business was transacted:—Southern Cross Hotel, license transferred from John Christopher Clare to #oon Hare Taylor; Waltham Arm», license transferred from F. C. Bowler to Joseph Dick. Mrs Lockwood was granted permission to carry on the license of the tandridge Hotel till the annual meeting.
