SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
SYDENHAM.
The monthly meeting of the School Committee was held on the 3rd inst. Present—Messrs J. Forrester (Chairman), F. C. Hall, E. Jones, T. S. Asquith, 3. L. Scott, and W. H. Meikleham. Correspondeuce was - received from the Board of Education advising that Miss Rose Joyce, Miss Mabel Lockwooa, and Miss lea Wilkinson are accepted as pupil teachers, the former as third year; and the application fora screen in* the long room of the girls' department has been referred to the Inspector for hit report. Several applications for appointment on .the teaching staff shoold a vacancy occur were received. It was resolved—" 'l hat no probationer not a scholar in Sydenham school be allowed to teach here without ' the written Instructions of the Committee being first obtained." After dealing with -several minor matters the Committee Adjourned.
