We have sold several excellent properties by auction, and have-let a few houses in various pares of the City. We have a number of inquiries for houses, rangiog from six to eigue rooms, to rent. Anyone having bouses of this description to let handy to town, would do well to place them in our hands. Mb F. M. Rickman reports on hie weekly sale at ths Ashburton Arcade on Saturday last, that 50 horses were entered for sale and a number of vehicles. There was a large attendance of tne public, and horses'sold'fairly well; draughts op to £20, hacks and harness horses up to £12, and a lot of sundries at very satisfactory prices. ■
