WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?

TO THE EDITOR OF THB PRESS., (ivii Sib, —Kindly allow mc space to drat! the attention of our municipal authoritiet to two dangers I notice in our streets (1.) The constant serious danger to foot path pedestrians by reason of the dilapi dated state of many shop verandahs that I could particularly name. (2.) Theneces sity for removal of all or any gorse feucel forming section frontage lines to main thoroughfares. The first I look upon as a really terious danger, likely to cause lost of life ac any moment, and a match applied to some existing fences would start fires to end one knows not where. A little attention too to trees overhanging footpaths would be serviceable.—Yours, &<v Policeman ft
