(p.s PBjEsa _aaooiAX—__) Received Anwar 87th, 10 _m. Londow, January 26. The Marquis of Salisbury states that the Portuguese Government will submit for consideration of the Cortes the basis of a new convention respecting the Zambesi and Shi.6 districts before negotiations are completed.
Received January Z7fh. &lo p.m. Berlin, January 26. The German Government intend to place a gunboat on the Zambesi, and give moral support to England.
