The time ball Xβ dropped daily, Sundays and holidays excepted, at 1 o'clock p.m., Kew Zealand mean time, which is equivalent to 13.80 Greenwich meau time of the previous day, being calculated for Xhfc 172* 30" Bast Longitude, and llhr SOmln fftst of Greenwich mean time. The ball will be raised at about 2mm fcplp.m,, and will be at the top about lmin to 1 p.m. * When taking the time be careful to note the exact moment the ball leaves the fcopof the mast.
