WADDINGTON.
The annual outing in connection with the Waddington scnool was carried out niosfc successfully on Friday, in a large paddock and plautation kindly lent by Mr F. Bull. There was a large actendauce of parents and district people, who had their wants closely attended to by the ladies and gentlemen who had interested themselves in carrying out details. Sports, &c,, amused the children for several hours, until the time arrived for the presentation of prizes. Then a picnic tea and cheers to all who had worked, so hard, and for the teachers and Mr and Mrs Bull, finished up a very pleasant day. In the evening a dance was held in the schoolroom for some hours, in honor of the occasion. The following is the prize liat :— Standard VII., P. Vincent. Standard VI., Wm. Adkfus, Annie Willis, Charlotte Pearson. Standard V., James Da via, Jane Maxwell, Francis Graham, Harry Hawkins, Annie Austin. Standard 17., Ernest Vincent, J. Martin, Sam Adkine, Emma Gamble, Herbert Austin, Daisy McCansland, Minnie Hight. Standard 111., Wm. J. Hight, Annie Maxwell, Lucy Maxwell, Francia Lilley, Hannah Hight. Standard IL, Annie Lake, Emily Willis, Winnie Butt, Nell Armstrong, Herbert Armstrong, Emily Martin, Arthur Hawkins, Boot, Johnson, Matilda Gamble. Standard L. Harold Bull, David Hight, Herbert Hight, Wm. Jones, Edward Hight, Joseph Markham, Ernest Pither, Johanna Hight, Mary Cogan, Hanna Lilley, Winnie Armstrong Erne. Sewing—Standards VI. and V., Jane Maxwell 1. Annie Willis & Standard 1V M Minnie Hight 1, Daisy McCausland and Emma Gamble (equal) 2. Standard 111., Lucy Cosan 1, Hannah Hight 2. Standard IL, Nellie Cogan 1, Emily Willis. Standard L, Mary Cogan 1, Ada Robineon 2. living at Sheffield —Ernest Vincent, Robt. Johnson, Emily Willis. At Waddington—William Armstrong, Herbert Armstrong, Eucebia Maxwell, and Harold Bull. Beyond both these places—Wm. J. Hight, Minnie Hight, and Francis Graham. Every child in the infant department received a present. All the prizes the upper standards were of a substantial character.
