WADDINGTON.

The annual outing in connection with the Waddington scnool was carried out niosfc successfully on Friday, in a large paddock and plautation kindly lent by Mr F. Bull. There was a large actendauce of parents and district people, who had their wants closely attended to by the ladies and gentlemen who had interested themselves in carrying out details. Sports, &c,, amused the children for several hours, until the time arrived for the presentation of prizes. Then a picnic tea and cheers to all who had worked, so hard, and for the teachers and Mr and Mrs Bull, finished up a very pleasant day. In the evening a dance was held in the schoolroom for some hours, in honor of the occasion. The following is the prize liat :— Standard VII., P. Vincent. Standard VI., Wm. Every child in the infant department received a present. All the prizes the upper standards were of a substantial character.
