TAI TAPU DAIRY FACTORY.

It Iβ with considerable pleasure that we have to record the continued success which has attended this factory. Tne» are now three separators at work, the third one having been lately introduced; the capacity of the machines is a? follows:—Two capable of running 220 gallons through per hoar each, and one loing 150 gallons* all being Bermister and Wain machines, driven by their new 6h-P» Tang/ engine. We understand, that Mr Yorke has offered to ship the surplus butter for this factory, offering very satisfactory terms, the butter to.be packed in the boxes adopted by the factory lined with pirchmeat paper, which cost about Is od. each complete. Mr Yprke urges that Government should be moved to supply one or more insulated trucks (or vans) far «the purpose of taking the butter to fcne ehlns* side. A considerable amount of money has already been spent in institutiOK an enquiry Into the dairy industry. Out of the large amount of suggestions received one was that these specially ' constructed vans should, be provided for the transit of butter to the ships' side. It fs therefore to be hoped that when the request is forwarded to that end, that it wul receive *he attention it requires from the hands of the Bail way Department.
