PROBABLE StHI£B OF SCOTCH RAILWAY HANDS.
(WBB PR3SS ASSOCIATION.] Received Decanter 22nd, S a.m. London, December 20. The Labor Council which ordered the New Zealand Shipping Company, Shaw, Savill and Albioa Company, and British India Compapy to be boycotted for shipping sailors aboard instead of at their offices, has abandoned the struggle, but the sailors continue the dispute. Received December 23rd. 1 aJEB. - London, December 22. Mr Tom Mann, President of the Dockers' Union, states that there are 1000 men out of work at the Docks in London, and that their families are in a starving condition. The Glasgow and Dundee railway men have decided on an immediate strike for a reduction of the hours of labor. The agitation is expected to become general throughout Scotland, and it is feared will paralyze trade. Berlin, December 22. An immense majority of the industrial bodies in Germany oppose the eight hours system except ior railway hands.'
I PRESS ASSOCIATION TELBQBAM.] WELLINGTON, Deoember 22. At a meeting of the Trades and Labor Council Belief Committee it was reported that several complaints bad been received as to the alleged boycotting by the Union Company. After takiug .evidence in support the Council resolved to write to Mr Mills on the subject.
