SUNDAY SCHOOL TREATS.
kdRTH BELT^PRESBYTERIAN. The annual school treat in connection with the North belt Presbyterian Sabbath school and the Riccarton. Presbyterian Sabbath school was bed in Mr P. Cunningham's grounds, Merivale. The children from the North belt marched in procession from the church, and those from Riccarton were driven'to the trystiug place. The beautiful grounds were specially suitable for the gathering. There were upwards of 400 children, teachers, parents, and friends present* ' Games and amusements of various kinds were freely indulged in, and a liberal number of prizes were competed for. Mrs Cunningham kindly presented a handsome silver cup for the boy who won the most races, and it was gained by Master Robert Mitchell. The children were regaled with a substantial tea, and the teachers were afterwards invited to an afternoon cup by Mrs Cunningham.. The teachers and friends worked hard during the day to amuse the young people, Mr A. Kaye, the Superintendent of the North-belt Sabbatn School, being especially active in the carrying out of the, various arrangements. At the conclusion of the-day's proceedings, a hearty vote of thanks ana cheers were given to Mr and Mrs Cunningham for their hospitality, and the gathering then dispersed.
