(PRESS ASSOCIATION T____RA_t3.> AUCKLAND, December 9. A dead body has been found at W&nsra,paro. It is supposed to be tbe body of Chas. Lingard who was drowned while swimming off the cutter Maud over a week since. Darnel Cox was found dead at Kuaotuna. His head, face, and shoulders are badly injured by the explosion of a dynamite cartridge. It was presumably suicide. A writ for -216-6 has been served on has been served on the Onehunga Borough Council by W. Brierly, contractor for the Onehunga Water Works, for balance alleged to be dun and also for extras, with interest. H.M.S. Curacoa left for Lyttelton, today. The manager of the Keystone Gold Mining Company, Euaotnna, Snell, died rather suddenly there on Sunday. Snell was well known in mining circles. WANGANUI, December 9. His Excellency the Governor passed through Awamoto, to-day, on his way to New Plymouth. Over 1000 bales will be offered at the Wanganui Wool Auction sales comme_oing on the 13th instant. WELLINGTON, December 9. Despite the wet weather experienced during the show, the Wellington Agricultural and Pastoral Association come out about even. It has been decided to hold a ram and ewe fair early in February. \ The members of the City Council propose to present the retiring Mayor, Mr C. J. Johnston, with a set of photos and ah address. ,
