APHIS IN BEANS.
TO TEE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sn~t,—ln your issue- of this morning I see a letter, headed as above, from Mr Marshall, of Ohoka, in which he mentions tho attack of his beans by this blight, and asks how to cure it. I cannot say how it carr be cured — unless, indeed, by the "Strawsbniser." But I think I can tell him how to Stop its ravages, and, at the same time, aaVte all, or nearly all, his crop. -t '. Let him cut it down and stack it, green, in a silo. If the blight gone too far, I think the plan will, afc le.ist, give him a good stack of fodder, thongh it will not enable him co thresh his beans, I am writing direct to Mr Marshall on the subject, but as others may be in the same predicament I ask you*to publish this.—Yours, Sec, Michael S. Campbell. Papanui, Ist December, 1890.
