Report as follows:—We held our second wool sale of the season yeaterdaj t when we cat__ogt-ed over TOO bales and sold 427 (exclusive of. bags). 'She recent; cable news from London, quoting a decline of 7$ to 10 per cent, upon merinos, and 5 per. cent, on crossbreds, bad naturally a weakening influence upon prices as compared to last sales. However, as regards crossbreds. especially the finer sorts, little difference is observable, bat merino wools ; were fully Jd per lb lower. Though light in places, most of the wools show the effects of the dry season experienced, by being heavy with earth and rotted. There was -a good master of buyers, Including one or two new arrivals from the Ola Country, who contributed. towards the success of the sales. Values were fully on a par with London prices, and ruled as follows:—Halfbred, 7£d to Hid; crossbred, 6£d to B£d; merino, 6d to Sd; pieces 3£d to 6Jd; locks, Id to 3fd.
